James Robyn literally grew up in the pool industry. His parents, Rin and Betty Robyn, began in the pool business in 1958. After graduating from Colgate University with a degree in Astrogeophysics and completing graduate school with an MBA in International Management (with a concentration in German), James spent seven years in the corporate world of computers. James decided to return to the family business in 1980. Today, in addition to managing the day to day aspects of the business, James spends much of his time working with clients on designing new projects. James's computer skills enable him to work at a detailed level and provide clients with computer generated drawings and images during the creative process of the project design to ensure that client project goals are attained. James has designed and consulted on many high end projects, including the renovation of an indoor pool at a Frank Lloyd Wright designed home.
